Perla is a Dutch-Argentinian screenwriter graduated from The Dutch Filmacademy, Amsterdam. She grew up in the most Southern place from The Netherlands, Maastricht, where she saw stories dying to be told in Dutch cinema.

During her study she approached storytelling as fun and purposeful. She wants to create worlds full of colour, but with an important message.

Perla loves creating strong & young characters with relationships that influence her stories. Her characters represent a diverse (feminine) street culture, mostly taking place in a larger-than-life kind of world. She 's now working towards a more tragicomedy style.
